Standing tickets added for Holden State of Origin III

The NRL has added an allocation of standing tickets to Suncorp Stadium for Holden State of Origin III, on Wednesday, July 12.

With demand for tickets extremely high, the NRL has worked with Suncorp Stadium to maximise capacity ahead of the decider.

The standing tickets, as well as a final allocation of seating, will go on sale at 10am tomorrow (Friday) morning. Standing tickets will be available from $50.

NRL CEO Todd Greenberg said it was important to ensure as many people were able to attend as possible.

“There is no doubt that this year’s State of Origin decider will be one of the most anticipated interstate matches in history,” Mr Greenberg said.

“This series has been extraordinary so far. We have seen two matches of the highest quality and no doubt we will see another classic when it is all on the line at Suncorp Stadium.”

Limited corporate hospitality packages remain available for the match. Fans can purchase packages at nrl.com/hospitality.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early, avoid the queues at the gates and catch the curtain-raiser games, not to mention the spectacular pre-game entertainment program.

The pre-match entertainment, which includes a lights-out spectacular and a performance from Bernard Fanning, will commence at 7.30pm.

The pre-game entertainment will also include a special tribute to Johnathan Thurston.

To avoid delays, fans are encouraged not to bring a bag unless absolutely necessary and plan to arrive early to assist with the security process.

The free travel offer applies from four hours before the main game kicks off. Special services run regularly to the venue in the two hour period leading up to kick-off.

Tickets are available through Ticketek and nrl.com/tickets.

Fans are also reminded that a new Marketplace for Fans is available for Origin III, giving supporters the chance to buy re-sold tickets at their original price.

The new service is designed for people who legitimately can’t attend the event and want to recoup their ticket costs.

Fans who wish to use the service should visit https://stateoforigin.ticketek.com.au/
