Sydney's train commuters will be boarding Holden State of Origin branded carriages in the lead up to Game 1 next Wednesday at ANZ Stadium.

Get tickets for Holden State of Origin Game 1

Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres and Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Andrew Constance today unveiled the new train carriages at Sydney Olympic Park station.

The campaign will see 11 State of Origin branded trains operating ahead of the series opening match in Sydney.

"The branded trains are a great way to remind everyone that State of Origin is just around the corner, and to book their tickets as the Blues begin their campaign to win back-to-back series," Mr Ayres said.

"Next Wednesday's match is expected to attract nearly 10,000 visitors from interstate and overseas, making a contribution of over $12 million in visitor expenditure to the NSW economy."

Mr Constance said this innovative partnership will give commuters the chance to get behind their state and purchase tickets to the upcoming match.

"The promotional images will be seen on trains all over the city, adding to the excitement ahead of the blockbuster series opener," Mr Constance said.

"With all tickets to State of Origin including public transport, I encourage all fans to leave the car at home next Wednesday, take advantage of the additional services, and cheer the Blues home!"
