Jesse Bromwich (Storm) - 9 points

Jesse Bromwich, Cam Smith and Cooper Cronk will headline a strong Melbourne Storm outfit to face the Bulldogs in Saturday's trial at Belmore Oval.

Bromwich is excited to get back on the park for Melbourne for the first time in 2016 with the NRL Telstra Premiership season just around the corner.

"It'll be good to get some minutes under my belt before the season, the Bulldogs are a very quality team, they’ve got some very good forwards, it'll be a very good warm up for Round 1. It's going to be tough but it'll be a good first hit out," Bromwich said.

"They have got a quality front row which I'll be up against, Aiden Tolman and James Graham in there and Sam Kasiano, they're very big boys and very skilful at the same time."

It has been a big 12 months for the Storm prop, who picked up his second Player of the Year award in Melbourne, and was also named the New Zealand Player of the Year.

It was a huge honour for the 26-year-old and he is looking to carry his hot form into the upcoming season in front of large Melbourne crowds.

"Obviously it's a very proud moment, very proud for me and my family, it's massive for us. I'm very grateful to win it," he said.

"It's massive for our players, we love playing at AAMI Park, and there's nothing better than playing when it's packed out and everyone's in purple."
