Costigan had an injury-plagued year in his first season at the Knights but when he was on the park he added some real steel to the team. He brings a real competitive edge to the team and is respected amongst his playing group as well as from the opposition. The keen fisherman is a popular player who has fitted into Newcastle really well and the Club is looking for big things from the Queensland State of Origin player this year.
