Fans will be able to attend the historic standalone State of Origin match at ANZ Stadium on June 24 next year from as little as $50.

Tickets for Game Two at ANZ Stadium on June 24 will go on sale today (December 7) to the general public.

The 2018 Holden State of Origin Series will usher in a new era for the Blues, who recently appointed NSW legend Brad Fittler as the new Head Coach.

NRL Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Abdo encouraged fans to get in early and secure the best seats for all three matches.

"Holden State of Origin is the most watched sporting event in the country and I can only imagine with the talent coming through in NSW as well as a new coach, the series will go to another level again in 2018," Mr Abdo said.

"This year's decider is the most watched television show of the year and there continues to be enormous interest in the interstate series - the 2017 Holden State of Origin Series was viewed by more than 10 million people on television.

"The standalone fixture will give Game Two a completely different feel and we believe fans will want to take advantage of experiencing Origin on a Sunday night.

"There is nothing better than watching Origin at the venue and we have some fantastic prices available at all three venues for our supporters to take advantage of."

Special pre-match spectaculars are being planned for all three venues, in line with the campaign "Nothing Hits You Like Origin".

NSW Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall said it was a coup for Sydney to be hosting the 2018 standalone State of Origin.

"Sydney has always been and will continue to be the home of rugby league in Australia and it's only fitting that New South Wales will host such an historic State of Origin fixture," Mr Marshall said.

"This much-anticipated encounter presents a wonderful opportunity for rugby league fans and adrenalin sports lovers from across the country to enjoy a weekend in Sydney before attending one of the jewels of the Australian sporting calendar."

Fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early and at the best prices at www.nrl.com/tickets.

The three-game 2018 Holden State of Origin series will be played across 6 June (Game One, MCG), 24 June (Game Two, ANZ Stadium), and 11 July (Game Three, Suncorp Stadium).

Tickets are on sale now for Games One and Two, with tickets going on sale for Game Three in early 2018.
