Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad scored a try in Cook Islands' loss to Tonga in their 2017 World Cup qualifier.

The Warriors have selected 21-year-old Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad to make his NRL debut on the wing against the Sydney Roosters at Mount Smart Stadium in Round 9 of the Telstra Premiership on Sunday.

Nicoll-Klokstad, the Warriors' Intrust Super Premiership player of the year in 2016, comes into the side with centre Solomone Kata out with a hamstring injury. Blake Ayshford moves to the centres with Nicoll-Klokstad coming in on the flank.

Prop Ben Matulino has been named on the bench, while winger Manu Vatuvei has been named among the reserves and is an outside chance to return from a knee injury.
