Tony Williams has been forced to pull out of Saturday's All Stars match with a strained quad.

The second rower has been managing the injury but was hoping to have recovered sufficiently before the February 4 clash at Skilled Park.

However, after being part of the team photo with the 20-man squad, Williams underwent a medical which revealed he is unfit to play in Saturday's feature match.

He is expected to be fit for the World Club Challenge in Leeds on February 17.

NRL All Stars coach Wayne Bennett has chosen Anthony Watmough to take Williams' spot on the bench.
