Taupau, Blair cop suspensions

Wests Tigers lock Martin Taupau has taken an early guilty plea for a dangerous contact charge and will miss three matches.

Taupau was hit with a grade three dangerous contact – head/neck charge for a challenge on Roosters five-eighth James Maloney on Friday night. He risked a four-match ban if he unsuccessfully challenged the charge at the judiciary.

Also charged by the committee in Round 20 was Broncos prop Adam Blair, who will miss two weeks after also entering an early guilty plea following his shoulder charge on Titans halfback Kane Elgey.

Josh Reynolds has pleaded guilty to a grade one dangerous contact – head/neck charge on Valentine Holmes and accepted a one-match ban, although he will also miss four to six weeks with a knee injury.

Melbourne's Jesse Bromwich has been referred directly to the NRL judiciary, following allegations of a bite on Dragons fullback Josh Dugan.

Knights playmaker Tyrone Roberts was also charged for a dangerous throw on South Sydney centre Dylan Walker, but is free to play in Round 21 after entering an early guilty plea.
