For the second time in three weeks, Blues prop Aaron Woods has played a better Origin game than he ever has before.

But unlike his mammoth stint in Origin I, when his 157 metres were the most by any forward from either side but didn't quite result in a win, this time his match-high 165 metres and crucial try helped seal the deal.
Woods has truly come of age as an Origin player and had it not been for a virtuoso performance from Michael Jennings on the Blues' left edge, Woods would have surely taken home the man-of-the-match award.
"I'm so proud you know, he's come a long way, he's one of the best front-rowers in the world," Woods's club captain Robbie Farah said after the game.
"I've seen him grow and develop as a person and a player from a 17-year-old kid and it makes me so proud to see where he is at the moment. He's a leader at such a young age, not only here but at the Tigers, mate he's got a long career in rep footy that's for sure."
Woods himself was typically understated when describing his own performance.
"It was a good win, we were disappointed in the way we played for the first Origin and there were a few things we needed to fix up and I thought we did a good job of that," Woods said.
But he added that bursting over for an unexpected try was "probably one of the best experiences ever."
"I just didn't expect it, but I just backed myself, I thought I was going to tip it on to Gal [Paul Gallen] but just went for it.
"I just wanted to get the ball down as quickly as possible, we are a tight bunch of boys and to get that win with them is the best thing ever"
He said the team's plan had been to try and go forward and play some footy, which the side did far more successfully than in the first game.
He welcomed the chance to travel to Brisbane to seal a second-straight series win.
"We are a new side, things have changed, we are the champions, we will go anywhere to play them, we came down to the MCG, we will play them anywhere," he said.
"We have copped a lot of flack and that will shut a lot of people up, I wonder if Queensland will cop it this time.
"We go to Suncorp, it is one-all and everything is on the line.
"We got beat in Game One, we couldn't have played any worse, we only got beaten by one point, we always knew we could bounce back."
