Penrith Panthers back-rower Isaah Yeo has extended his contract a further two seasons, with the club announcing the new deal on Friday.
The 23-year-old was already contracted until 2019 but will now remain at the foot of the mountains until the completion of the 2021 season.
With former Penrith skipper Matt Moylan having recently departed, Yeo shapes as a contender for the captaincy role after having cemented his position on the left edge during 82 NRL appearances.
"The club has shown tremendous faith in me and I'm looking forward to trying to repay that faith on the field with my performances," Yeo said.
"I think the last two years have been successful, especially given the age of our playing group, and I'm very confident with where this team is heading."
Panthers executive general manager Phil Gould believes Yeo is a future representative player and displays maturity beyond his years.
"Isaah already displays tremendous leadership qualities and we are delighted he has committed his long-term future to the club," Gould said.
"He has come through the Panthers development system and now established himself as a mainstay in our NRL team."
Yeo becomes the third player to commit to the Panthers long-term in the past week with teammates Dylan Edwards and Tyrone May also agreeing to terms on new deals.
