South Sydney have confirmed a triple injury blow following Thursday's loss to Penrith with Dean Hawkins and Jye Gray joining skipper Cameron Murray for a lengthy stint on the sideline.

Halfback Hawkins will miss the next 12 weeks after injuring his quadricep while taking a kick-off in Round 9.

The Rabbitohs also confirmed on Monday that rookie fullback Gray suffered a syndesmosis injury and will miss the next 8-10 weeks following surgery.

Murray, meanwhile, has been ruled out of the NSW team for the opening State of Origin match on June 5 at Accor Stadium with a hip flexor injury. He is facing 6-8 weeks out.

In better news for the club, star fullback Latrell Mitchell returns from suspension to face the Dragons.

Meanwhile, star halfback Jahrome Hughes has been ruled out for the Storm's top-of-the-table clash with Cronulla and is expected to miss up to three weeks after playing through a calf injury on Saturday while winger Xavier Coates remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Melbourne will also be without Ryan Papenhuyzen, who has had surgery after suffering a minor fracture in his fibula, just above a plate inserted last year.

“Considering what Paps has had over the last few years, it's probably a minor injury in comparison to some of the previous ones. He'll miss the next four to six weeks," Storm general manager of football Frank Ponissi said on Tuesday.

The Sharks, meanwhile, will be without Toby Rudolf for the next month after the 28-year-old forward suffered a knee injury in Round 9.

Broncos captain Adam Reynolds will undergo surgery and miss 12-14 weeks after he suffered a torn biceps in Round 9.

It was part of a costly night for the Broncos who have lost winger Jesse Arthars to a broken jaw. He is expected to miss six weeks.

The Sea Eagles have been dealt a double blow ahead of their Round 10 clash against the Dolphins with hooker Lachlan Croker (concussion protocol) and forward Nathan Brown (quad) sidelined.

The Dolphins welcome back star centre Herbie Farnworth after four games out with a shoulder injury, while veteran forward Kenny Bromwich (concussion) also returns.

Dolphins centre Tesi Niu is set to miss at least two games with an ankle inury, with scans revealing it was related to a historical problem.

"The good news is that this is really just an aggravation of a previous ligament injury Tesi had dealt with," said Dolphins' head of performance Jeremy Hickmans. "There was actually minimal new damage."

Titans halfback Tanah Boyd is set to miss six weeks after dislocating his wrist against the Storm.

The Warriors expect forward Kurt Capewell to miss a month with a calf injury.

Meanwhile, Parramatta fullback Clint Gutherson has had a minor operation on his knee and will be unavailable for up to five weeks.
