The Sharks won their 10th-straight game and showed off their premiership credentials against reigning premiers North Queensland. It kick-started a roller-coaster week for Wade Graham who was suspended from making his State of Origin debut after hitting Johnathan Thurston high in the Sharks' three-point win. The Raiders lost for the last time in the regular season up in Brisbane. Robbie Farah showed the Wests Tigers faithful that his best football wasn't behind him against the Rabbitohs while some inadvertent magic from Tony Williams helped the Bulldogs beat the Dragons. Winger David Fusitu'a and prop Albert Vete combined for six tries in the Warriors' dismantling of the Knights and the Panthers produced one of the biggest comebacks of the year to sink the Sea Eagles.
