They're still the front-runners for the NRL minor premiership, but after back-to-back defeats are the Melbourne Storm's title hopes on shaky ground?

In Friday's NRL Daily John Gibbs and Trent Barrett go behind the scenes at the Storm, talking to assistant coach David Kidwell about the team's preparations heading into the post-Origin portion of the season.

Will the return of Cameron Smith make the difference? Can Melbourne clog up their defence after leaking 40 points to the Raiders last week? What's the latest on injured stars Billy Slater and Will Chambers?

Kidwell lets us know how Melbourne's mastercoach Craig Bellamy is responding to the team's recent troubles as Cooper Cronk prepares to play his 200th NRL game.

We also chat to veteran Roosters fullback Anthony Minichiello about his club's rivalry with this weekend's opponents South Sydney, and whether we can expect a repeat of his last-minute try that won the game for the tricolours against the Rabbitohs way back in Round 1.

We'll ask Mini about whether it's now do-or-die for the Roosters, get his thoughts on last Monday's golden-point draw against Cronulla, and see how the club is coping with Jared Waerea-Hargreaves' suspension and the hype around the potential signing of Sonny Bill Williams for next season.

And we do every Friday, we'll get Rob Bruns's Dream Team tips for the week, plus all the late mail and the big weekend predictions.

Get all this and more in tonight's episode of NRL Daily, the only NRL show that's on every night of the week.
