Cowboys forward John Asiata has been charged for a careless high tackle in Round 16.

Cowboys interchange weapon John Asiata has pleaded guilty to a careless high tackle but is free to play for North Queensland this weekend.

A good record means that Asiata escapes suspension with the early guilty plea for his shot on Manly's Brayden Wiliame.

Earlier, Newcastle's Jacob Saifiti and Bulldogs forward Josh Jackson also escaped bans after pleading guilty to match review charges.
