Mark commenced as the Chief Executive of EML in January 2012, after joining in 2010.
Mark has over 25 years' experience in the personal injury sector, in both strategic and operational roles. Over this period, Mark has worked intimately closely with key Government Regulators across Australia in delivering value to their schemes. He previously held the position of Chief Executive/Managing Director of Coal Services Pty Ltd, a specialist workers compensation insurance scheme for the coal mining industry.
Between 2003 and 2009 Mark held various positions within Suncorp, culminating in his appointment in 2007 as Executive General Manager of their national workers compensation claims business.
Prior to his career in insurance and workers compensation, Mark achieved success as a professional rugby league player with St George, Queensland and Australia. Mark played over 200 games for the Dragons, with half of them as Captain, 19 State of Origin Games for QLD and 9 Tests for Australia
Mark has a degree in Business Management and was a Director of Police and Citizens Youth Club for 10 years and a Director of the NRMA Road Service between 2000-2003. He is currently a Board Member of the Sporting Chance Cancer Foundation, a Patron of the NSW Children’s Cancer Foundation and commenced as a member of the Australian Rugby League Commission (ARLC) in February 2019.
