The North Queensland Cowboys' Captain America jersey.

While they're admired on the field, the Marvel-clad Toyota Cowboys will honour the true North Queensland heroes following the team's Round 5 National Rugby League clash against the South Sydney Rabbitohs at 1300SMILES Stadium.

With much of the region devastated by Cyclone Debbie and its rain-sodden aftermath, the club will auction off all 17 of the Cowboys match-worn player-signed Captain America Marvel jerseys, the proceeds going to the natural disaster recovery effort.

Auction site will be LIVE at 6:30pm tonight, 31 March 2017 (7.30pm AEDT).

"We're the North Queensland Cowboys, so we share the highs and lows with our fellow North Queenslanders," said club CEO Greg Tonner.

"When they hurt, we hurt, and we have seen the dramatic and profound devastation Cyclone Debbie wrought on our communities.

"The true heroes are those families hit by the cyclone; and those selfless emergency services personnel, the armed services, the volunteers and the wider public who have all been pitching in to clean up and help repair broken lives.

"We want to do what we can and we know that funds raised from this jersey auction will be well utilised and appreciated."

Player Ethan Lowe, the Cowboys’ face of the ISC Marvel round, said he and his teammates thoughts were with families affected.

"Natural disasters are a cruel part of life in this part of Australia, and myself and the boys want everyone to know that we're thinking those families who have had their lives turned upside down by Cyclone Debbie," Lowe said.

"We'll be proud to donate these jerseys to the recovery effort."
