NSW forward Glenn Stewart has today been ruled out of Game Three of the Harvey Norman State of Origin Series.

Stewart underwent a fitness test at training on his injured knee but VB Blues medical staff ruled he would not be ready to play in time for Wednesday’s series-deciding clash.

Dragons forward Beau Scott will replace Stewart in the VB Blues side for the clash at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday, July 4.

The news follows Queensland star Billy Slater being ruled out of the decider after he underwent a fitness test in Melbourne on Thursday.

Greg Inglis will switch to fullback for the Maroons, with Melbourne's Dane Nielsen coming into the centres. Both the Cowboys' Matt Bowen and South Sydney's Dave Taylor were released from camp so that they could play with their NRL clubs at the weekend.

Queensland have announced their 17-man team to take on NSW, but the Blues are yet to confirm the final make-up of their side.
