New Warriors coach Stephen Kearney isn't worried about recruit Kieran Foran potentially missing the beginning of the 2017 Telstra Premiership season.
Foran is yet to receive the green light from the NRL integrity unit to commence his career at the Warriors following his early exit from the Parramatta Eels midway through last year.
Kearney said it was Warriors CEO Jim Doyle's focus to establish when exactly Foran can begin playing at the club.
"The decision surrounding Kieran is obviously not mine to make. It's the NRL's. It's a process we have to work through. I haven't spent a great deal of energy on it," Kearney said on Monday.
"There's 34 other blokes here who I have to look after. My job is to prepare the lads in terms of our structure and what's effective for us.
"In terms of replacements we have Ata Hingano who is a guy who has come through our grades here and then there's Mason Lino too so we have a couple of options."
Further complicating Foran's return is the shoulder injury that prematurely ended his first and only season at the Eels.
"I've seen a real improvement in him over the past month," Kearney said.
"He's come back to training in fantastic shape and I'm sure that'll grow once he ticks more boxes. He's in a really good [space]."
Another player who has impressed Kearney in terms of his recovery is fullback Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.
The former Roosters No.1's first season at the Warriors was cruelly cut short by a season-ending ACL injury after seven games.
"Roger's ticking along really well. He's pretty much into full contact now and progressing really well," Kearney said.
"He epitomises professionalism. If there's a box to tick, he'll tick it and then some.
"He's a fantastic professional athlete and it's a real credit to him the position he finds himself in now."
Kearney also said it was too early to discuss preparations for the upcoming Auckland Nines weekend on February 4 and 5 at Eden Park.
