Myles leaves Sea Eagles for Storm

The Melbourne Storm have signed Queensland Origin player and Australian Test representative Nate Myles for the rest of the 2017 season after he was granted an immediate release by the Manly Sea Eagles.

Myles, 31, brings 231 games of NRL experience and 32 Origin games worth of experience with him and boosts Melbourne's forward stocks after a season-ending injury to Christian Welch. 

"I'm ecstatic to be able to join Melbourne Storm for the remainder of the season," Myles said. 

"When an opportunity presented itself to link up with the Storm, it was something I felt would really benefit my football and playing strengths."

The Sea Eagles meanwhile have signed junior Kiwis forward Toafofoa Sipley from the Warriors.

Sipley, who has been in good form for the Warriors' ladder-leading Intrust Super Premiership side, joins the club on a two-year deal for the 2018 and 2019 season.
