One Community Ambassador Trent Barrett, Indigenous All Stars team member Tom Learoyd-Lahrs, Manly forward Matt Cross and Raiders forward David Shillington joined the community of Batemans Bay on Saturday to kick-off the Learn. Earn. Legend! All Stars Regional Tour as it made the first of five stops across regional NSW.

The free public event saw more than 1500 people from Batemans Bay and surrounding areas join the players for Backyard League and Kids to Kangaroos games, a barbecue, community stalls and the chance to take a photo with the NRL Telstra Premiership Trophy.

Locals also contributed to a piece of Indigenous artwork on a giant canvas that will be displayed centre-field at the Harvey Norman Rugby League All Stars game, at Skilled Park on the Gold Coast, on February 12.

Earlier in the day, Indigenous All Stars Nathan Merritt and Cory Paterson and Emerging Blues centre Beau Champion paid a special visit to Batemans Bay, the trio are unable to attend the main public event due to an Emerging Blues camp.

The Learn. Earn. Legend! All Stars Regional Tour will now make its way to Condobolin, where Indigenous All Stars member Joel Thompson and Indigenous All Stars coach Laurie Daley will be on hand to meet the locals at the Wiradjuri Learning Centre on Monday, January 24 from 4pm-7pm.

The Tour will also visit Wilcannia (January 26, 2:00pm-4:30pm), Walgett (January 28, 4pm-7pm) and Moree (January 30, 4pm-7pm).
