The first challenge of season 2011 starts this Monday, with beach side clubs, the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles, the Sydney Roosters and the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks going head to head to see which club can sell the most memberships in one week.

Kicking off at 9am, the Battle of the Beaches is the first round of the Membership Premiership, which will see groups of three clubs at a time go head to head for a $10,000 grant from the NRL.

All clubs start on zero for the competition, meaning if regardless of how many memberships each club may have already sold this year, all three sides will be starting on a level playing field.

Manly have set their ambitions high for the week with a planned Fan Day at Narrabeen Sports Centre this Monday in a bid to sign 1000 members in one day to launch their week of activities, whilst the Sharks have launched a special Father and Son Membership offer to kick off their campaign.

The Grand Finalist Roosters are encouraging fans to unite and commit to the club for 2011 with special online membership packages available, plus the Sydney Roosters squad will be manning the phones on Wednesday night (5:30pm - 7pm) to individual answer any memberships queries the fans might have.
