The ‘Battle of the Legends’ has seen not only Rabbitohs Members and supporters stand up to be counted but also Rabbitohs players Ben Ross, Ben Lowe, Jason Clark and Roy Asotasi get on board with the campaign.

The four players took to the phones yesterday calling Rabbitohs fans that hadn’t yet made the step from supporter to Member. What started with some friendly banter between them, soon turned into a competition with a leader board and bell ringing after each Membership sold.

Jason Clark took great delight in signing up a family of six and leapfrogging Ben Lowe at the top of the leader board just before signing off for the day while Roy Asotasi put in a stellar performance, however had great difficulty in trying to make Rabbitohs supporters believe it was actually him.

Ben Ross on the other hand believes the race is not over and after signing up his own family on the spot, took off with a pile of Membership brochures and new Member forms to sign up anyone and everyone he could.

The efforts of the players, as well as our Membership base, has seen the Rabbitohs surpass the 18,000 total Member mark today! Last year’s total of 18,716 is in our sights, with our overall goal of 20,000 Members moving closer and closer every day. Of course the sky is the limit and we don't want to stop once we hit the 20,000 mark.

The Club also has a goal of hitting 14,000 Ticketed Members this year, so if you are yet to sign up as a Ticketed Member for 2011, this week is the week to do it as we fight for the $10,000 prize and the title of winner of the Battle of the Legends.
