The Sydney Roosters are continuing to break membership records this year with the club reaching the 8,000 Member mark for the first time in its history on Sunday.

Currently the club is sitting at 8,109 Members, an extraordinary effort the Club is extremely proud of.

A renewed Membership target of 9,000 has been set so the Club is urging all fans to sign up and become a Member and part of the Roosters family.

The Club has experienced a membership growth of 61% in just the last two years.

In 2009 the Sydney Roosters had 5,040 members, over three thousand less than what we currently sit at before a ball has been kicked.

Roosters CEO Stephen Noyce says this year's record numbers are a great boost for the club.

“Without Members a club simply can't operate and we are extremely thankful for all the Members that have signed up and become part of the Roosters family,” he said.

“The more Members we have the greater the support we can get behind our players and the greater revenue we can use to benefit the team’s performance.”

Last year the Club used some of the membership revenue to purchase equipment for the High Performance Unit to help increase individual player performance.
