Roosters five-eighth Todd Carney will officially return to club training tomorrow (Friday May 6) just over two weeks since he was stood down indefinitely following an alcohol-related incident.

The troubled Dally M medalist, who was stood down indefinitely by the 2010 grand finalists on April 19 to seek medical treatment and professional advice regarding his health and wellbeing, has missed two games.

The official Roosters club statement issued tonight said: "Following consultation both internally and from key external professionals, the Sydney Roosters advise that Todd Carney will resume training with the First Grade squad tomorrow - Friday 6 May, 2011."

The Roosters have a bye this weekend, with their next game against the Sharks at Toyota Park on Sunday week.

Sydney are languishing in the bottom half of the Telstra Premiership ladder in 13th place with just two wins from eight games.
