Queensland will again feature prominently in another national Rugby League side in 2011, after 13 players were named from north of the Tweed in the Australian Jillaroos side to tour Samoa.
Tui Cope (Browns Plains, Brisbane) and Bianca Ambrum (Edmonton Storm, Cairns) will make their Australian debuts, after impressive performances for Queensland in this years’ interstate clash.
The Jillaroos will tour Samoa from August 29 to September 4, playing a Test match against Fetu Samoa on September 3 in Apia.
This tour will the the Jillaroos only warm up match before taking on arch-rivals and current Women’s Rugby League World Champions, the New Zealand Kiwiferns later in the year for a one off Test match at Runaway Bay on October 15.
The Australian side will be guided by former NSW and Cowboys coach Graham Murray.
