NRL Chief Executive, Mr David Gallop, tonight paid tribute to Melbourne Storm’s Minor Premiership triumph ahead of the start of an enthralling Telstra Premiership Finals Series.

The Telstra Premiership Finals Series captains will launch the finals race in Sydney tomorrow at the traditional Captains Call ahead of the following Week One clashes:

1st Qualifying Final
Wests Tigers (4) v (5) St George Illawarra Dragons at ANZ Stadium, Sydney
7.45pm Friday, September 9

2nd Qualifying Final
Brisbane Broncos (3) v (6) Warriors, at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
6.30pm Saturday, September 10

3rd Qualifying Final
Manly Sea Eagles (2) v (7) North Queensland Cowboys, at SFS, Sydney
8.30pm Saturday, September 10

4th Qualifying Final
Melbourne Storm (1) v (8) Newcastle Knights, at AAMI Park, Melbourne
4pm Sunday, September 11

In announcing the Week One Telstra Premiership Finals schedule, Mr Gallop praised the Storm for the manner in which they have approached the season and wished all teams in the Finals Series the best of luck.

“To Ron Gauci, Craig Bellamy, Cameron Smith and the Storm players and staff, congratulations on winning the Minor Premiership.

“It is a deserved reward for the way the club has moved forward in the past 12 months and for the commitment shown by the players over the 26 rounds of the Telstra Premiership.

“To all the teams competing in the 2011 Telstra Premiership Finals Series, may I wish you the best of luck, and to all the members and fans may I urge you to get in early and get your seats to what will be an exciting month of footy.”

With the Week One Telstra Premiership Finals Series schedule now determined, it is important that Ticketed Club Members and all fans are aware now of how to secure tickets for the biggest games of the year.

Ticketed Club Members of Telstra Premiership Finals teams will have priority access to tickets for Week One Home City Qualifying Finals from 10am-6pm on Monday, September 5, ahead of their release to the general public from 10am on Tuesday, September 6.

NRL.com members and Non-Ticketed Club Members of the competing NRL teams will also have priority ticket access online from 8pm Monday, September 5, to 8am Tuesday, September 6.

Already, Ticketed Club Members will have received by email a special ‘Advantage Access Number’ to use when booking tickets.

All fans should consult either their club or NRL.com for specific match details.

It is important that Ticketed Club Members note that the number of tickets they can buy and access to their regular season seat will vary from ground to ground in Week One Home City Qualifying Finals.

Please refer to the following Week One Telstra Premiership Finals ticket guidelines. These refer to NRL teams only and not for Club Members of teams competing in the Toyota Cup.


1st Qualifying Final

Ticketed Club Members of the Wests Tigers and Dragons will be able to purchase 10 tickets per membership.

2nd Qualifying Final

Brisbane Broncos (3) v (6) Warriors, at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
6.30pm Saturday, September 10

Ticketed Club Members of the Brisbane Broncos will have the option to purchase their own seat. The Broncos club will contact their members directly with this option.

Tickets will go on sale to Ticketed Club Members of the Brisbane Broncos and the Warriors from 10am on Monday, September 5, and to the general public from 10am on Tuesday, September 6.

Ticketed Club Members of the Broncos and Warriors will be able to purchase four tickets per membership.

Warriors supporter bays will be located in sections 317 and 721.
