Easter travel services for NRL fans

Ahead of a blockbuster round of Easter NRL matches, fans are encouraged to make the most of the world-class major event public transport services available for games at ANZ Stadium.

All match tickets and club memberships to the Good Friday clash between the Rabbitohs and Bulldogs and the Easter Monday clash between the Eels and Wests Tigers include entry and return travel on CityRail trains, Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Bus Services, regular Sydney Buses (STA), Liverpool to Parramatta T-way buses, Sydney Ferries services and Light Rail services.
 

“With two NRL blockbusters scheduled in conjunction with the Sydney Royal Easter Show, this is one of the most exciting weekends of activity at Sydney Olympic Park each year and the best way to get here and enjoy the events and atmosphere is on public transport,” said ANZ Stadium Managing Director, Mr Daryl Kerry.

“The Sydney Olympic Park precinct was built to handle huge crowds and Sydney has shown in the past that when the major event transport services are utilised, and when we give ourselves time to get out and enjoy the day, things run smoothly.

“Direct trains and additional services, plus major event buses, are running across the Easter long weekend making it easy for the whole family to travel to and from ANZ Stadium, with the cost of transport included in your NRL match ticket or club membership.”

The Sydney Olympic Park Authority is advising that NRL fans who intend to drive to the Good Friday or Easter Monday games must have pre-booked parking, via Ticketek or the SOPA website.

The closest train station to ANZ Stadium is Olympic Park Station. Additional and direct Sydney Trains will be in operation to coincide with the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

• Lidcombe to Olympic Park every 10 minutes from 5am until midnight, extending to Blacktown from 9am onwards.

• Central to Olympic Park every 15 minutes from 8am-9am and then every seven to eight minutes until midnight.

Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Bus services are operating on 11 routes across Sydney and will be running every 20 to 30 minutes to coincide with the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

Major Event Buses start running between 7am and 7.30am depending on the route. The last bus on each route departs Sydney Olympic Park at 11pm.

Major Event Bus routes include: 1A – Warriewood via Dee Why; 1B – Warriewood via Mona Vale; 2A – Glebe via Gladesville; 2B – Glebe via Hunters Hill; 3 – Marsfield; 4 – Maroubra; 5A – Castle Hill; 5B – Rouse Hill; 6 – Menai; 7 – Cronulla via Miranda; 8 – Dural.

Fans who have not pre-booked parking should not drive and are advised to take advantage of the extra direct train and bus services put on for the Easter Show, which are also included in the event ticket.

Those driving and who have pre-booked their parking space should allow plenty of time to get to Sydney Olympic Park, find their space and get to their seat for the game.
