Game One of this year's Holden State of Origin Series marks the 100th clash between fierce rugby league rivals New South Wales and Queensland. To mark the occasion NRL.com is reliving 100 of the most iconic moments of the past 34 years of this compelling contest. 1980: Kerry Boustead scores first Origin try for Qld

NSW fans would've had an eerie sense of déjà-vu when Maroons winger Kerry Boustead dived over for Queensland's first try in the Origin arena, having scored a similar four-pointer when he lined up in the sky blue and scored a hat-trick against the Cane Toads just 12 months earlier. Finishing off a slick backline move that shifted the ball from one sideline to the other, Boustead had too much pace for opposite number Greg Brentnall to run in for a try that put Queensland on the front foot after half an hour of play and on their way to an historic victory.
