Valentine Holmes kicks the winning field goal in golden point against the Raiders in Round 19.

The confirmed team changes and rumours heading into the second week of the Telstra Premiership Finals Series.

Roosters: Despite being named on Tuesday, Mitchell Pearce has failed to recover from a hamstring injury in time for Friday night's sudden death semi-final. Jackson Hastings will again partner James Maloney in the halves, with 18th man Suaia Matagi likely to round out the interchange.

Bulldogs: There is some talk that a virus might hamper some of the Dogs side named for Friday night, however Des Hasler's side should be unchanged. Frank Pritchard is free to take his place after successfully challenging his charge at the NRL judiciary on Tuesday night.

Cowboys: UPDATE: Coach Paul Green has cut Ray Thompson from the extended bench, with Rory Kostjasyn to fill the bench hooker role. It remains to be seen whether Johnathan Thurston will be able to handle his regular goal kicking duties on Saturday night, with a groin injury affecting his action. He kicked against Brisbane last week, but should he be unable to kick Kyle Feldt and Ethan Lowe are likely to deputise.

Sharks: With Valentine Holmes expected to take his place on the wing after overcoming a leg injury, Cronulla should be unchanged for their trip to Townsville.
