Brisbane hit the outright lead in the NRL Telstra Premiership with their 8-5 win over the try-less Panthers, with victory coming in the final minute thanks to a Corey Oates try. The Blake Austin show rolled back into Canberra when he led his team to a huge win over the Titans. Shaun Johnson left it late against the Sharks after orchestrating two tries in the final seven minutes of the Warriors' win. The Sea Eagles won back-to-back for the first time in 2015 with their huge win over Newcastle – closing the gap at the bottom of the ladder between Cronulla, Parramatta and themselves. The Rabbitohs ended their own losing streak and the Dragons' six-game winning streak in one fell sweep in Monday night football.
