Preliminary Finals: Everything you need to know to tune in

And then there were four.

Preliminary final weekend promises to be an absolute as the NRL's best four teams battle it out for a spot in the big one at Suncorp Stadium on October 3.

On Friday night the Rabbitohs and Sea Eagles square off in an intriguing battle of wily mentors Wayne Bennett and Des Hasler and two of the game's most astute playmakers in Adam Reynolds and Daly Cherry-Evans.

On Saturday it's defending premiers Melbourne taking on the team they beat in last year's decider Penrith.

For the on-field action in week one of the finals, NRL.com will have live match centres which include updates as they happen, in-match highlights and live audio coverage.

The NRL Daily Briefing news podcast is now available on Apple Podcasts. It can also be downloaded on Google Podcasts.

And if you have an Alexa-enabled device you can download the NRL skill at amazon.com.au.

There have been changes to Telstra's Live pass in 2021. More information on the changes can be found here.

For the individual matches, fans can follow the games here (all times AEDT):
