NRL Fantasy Winners & Losers: Round 6

Nathan Cleary is officially back, Kalyn Ponga exploded into form and David Fifita might be good again.

Winners

Kalyn Ponga (102) scored more points against the Dragons than in his entire season to date up to that point. With a try, try assist, 10 busts, seven offloads and 240 metres, the mercurial fullback showed what he's capable of when he gets involved.

Those of us hoping Nathan Cleary (93) might tank his price are going to have to dig deep to afford him because those price drops have just about run out already after his impressive outing against Brisbane.

And after looking like a possible sell after four unimpressive scores, David Fifita (85) now has back-to-back boomers and is looking increasingly like his 2021 self.

Damien Cook (82) is on a serious hot streak, while Isaah Yeo (77), Harry Grant and Alex Twal (both 76), David Klemmer (71), Haumole Olakau'atu and Moses Suli (both 70) all went large in round six.

Val Holmes (58) has big scores in three of his past four games, Tom Starling (56) has back-to-back 50s, Will Penisini (55) got busy after being moved out to the wing and Kelma Tuilagi (45) gave his price another boost.

NRL Round Up - Round 6

Losers

An early head knock was bad news for Dale Finucane (0) owners while Billy Walters (6 points in 80 minutes) is now an urgent sell. Jesse Arthars (10) came down to earth after two 50-plus scores and Lachlan Ilias (18) returned his equal-lowest score of the year.

In the Storm pack, Brandon Smith (24) is another urgent sell while it's now time to part ways with Josh King (25).

Try of the Week: Round 6

The Matt Burton (23) experiment may finally be over after he had his worst score of the year which included being forced to cover out in the centres.

Leo Thompson's (26) price rises have ground to a halt while Tevita Pangai jnr (27) looks like he will be rocks-or-diamonds all year despite now playing 80 minutes regularly.

Penrith centres Stephen Crichton (29) and Izack Tago (32) look to have peaked while at the higher end, Nicho Hynes (45) went ok against his old club but it wasn't a great score for those who captained him.
