Youi Stories of Change: From a Small Town to the Big League

Jess Skinner had always loved rugby league, but fell into coaching when it became clear that involving women in the game could have great benefits for not just herself but her community as well.

She saw that if more women, and more Indigenous coaches, were involved in the game, there was a greater impact to be had for the community around her.

Her journey has taken her to the NRLW and beyond, with Skinner also involved in the First Nations Gems as the team's Head Coach.

From a small town to the big leagues, this is her story, thanks to Youi.
