Cronulla have soared into second place on the NRL Power Rankings after going back-to-back in Coffs Harbour while Penrith have held on to their place on top heading into Round 13.

Craig Fitzgibbon's side rose four places, from sixth to second place, after overcoming the Knights 26-6 on Saturday to rack up their seventh win of the season.

After climbing their way to the top of the rankings last week, Ivan Cleary's men have decided they're there to stay after orchestrating an impressive 15-4 win over the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium to lead both the Power Rankings and NRL ladder.

The big movers for the week however are the Wests Tigers. After finding themselves languishing in 15th place heading into last weekend, a record 66-18 win over the Cowboys has seen Tim Sheens soar to eighth, despite still sitting at 16th on the competition ladder.

Meanwhile, the Storm secured their second-consecutive win in a hard-fought 24-16 victory over the Dolphins in Round 12, which sees them leap from eighth to third place in this week's Power Rankings, two places above their Telstra Premiership standing.

A win on the road to the Raiders at GIO Stadium has the Sea Eagles up six places in seventh, while conversely for Canberra it meant they drop seven places to tenth as this week's big fallers.

Despite a 79th minute finish to overcome the Roosters and claim their third win of the season, the Dragons still sit 17th on the rankings and the NRL ladder heading into their Round 13 clash with the Dolphins.
