Which State of Origin moment will be named the fans' favourite?

To celebrate the Holden State of Origin series we at NRL.com are celebrating by asking fans to vote on their favourite Origin moment.

Today, one of the great tries in Origin history goes up against the triumphant return of one of Queensland's favourite sons.

Slater's chip'n'chase

In Game Two 2004, Billy Slater, two days from his 21st birthday, solidified his place in the Queensland Origin team for the forseeable future. A sweet grubber from Darren Lockyer through to Slater kicked off proceedings, with the then winger scooping it up and racing away. With a one-on-one showdown with NSW's Anthony Minichiello looming, Slater raced towards the outside of Minichiello before chipping back in the inside to get around his opposition and score one of the more memorable tries ever scored in the Origin arena.

Langer returns

With New South Wales dominating State of Origin the year before with a 3-0 sweep, Queensland was looking for revenge. With the series locked up at one win apiece and Queensland severely down on star power, Maroons coach Wayne Bennett did the unthinkable and sent an SOS to Warrington halfback Allan Langer to save Queensland. Unbeknown to most, Langer flew back to Brisbane's ANZ Stadium for his 31st Origin appearance and from there the wily halfback orchestrated an absolute blitzing of the Blues. Langer produced three try assists before putting the icing on the cake of the Maroons' 40-14 win with a try of his own in the memorable Queensland series win.
