A rangy outside back, Lipp relocated from Toowoomba to join the Cowboys Young Guns in 2021. Lipp spent much of his junior career as a half, but transitioned to the centres upon moving to the Cowboys. Lipp joined the Cowboys top squad in 2022 and made his Queensland Cup debut that season. Lipp is contracted through the end of the 2023 season.
