Rockhampton boy Kurt Wiltshire announced himself as one of the brightest prospects in Queensland after a stunning breakout season in 2018.

Despite still being eligible for the under 20s, Wiltshire spent all but two games of 2018 in the Queensland Cup with the Mackay Cutters, scoring eight tries in 13 games.

The 20-year-old put together some remarkable individual performances – none better than his Round 13 effort against Wynnum Manly. Starting in the centres,
Wiltshire scored a try, set up another, made three line-breaks, broke five tackles and ran for a mammoth 233 metres.

Wiltshire was also part of the drought-breaking Queensland under 20s side, who toppled NSW for the first time, scoring a try in the 30-12 victory.

Wiltshire’s stellar 2018 campaign came on the back of being named Cowboys NYC Player of the Year in 2017.
