After previous NRL stints at the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and Sydney Roosters, Luke Garner progressed through the club's reserve-grade side in 2017 before eventually making his first-grade debut for Wests Tigers in Round 18 of the 2018 season. He would earn selection in the NSW Residents side that year after a number of impressive performances — re-signing with the club after a strong rookie season. Locking down a starting position in the back row, Garner has been one of the most consistent players at the club over the past two years. He is signed through at Wests Tigers until the end of the 2022 season.
