Eels rookie Bevan French was the 2016 Downer Auckland Nines top try scorer with eight tries.

The Newcastle Knights and Parramatta Eels have both made team changes ahead of Monday night's clash at Hunter Stadium.

For Newcastle, Tyler Randell, Josh King and Korbin Sims move into the starting pack, with Danny Levi and Daniel Saifiti dropping back to the bench and Jeremy Smith ruled out through injury. Lachlan Fitzgibbon gets the final bench spot.

The Eels have made some changes too with Daniel Alvaro replacing Junior Paulo at prop, while Vai Toutai is out of the backline with Bevan French making his debut on the wing.
