When asked about the most dangerous threat in the Melbourne Storm's line-up many will refer directly to one of the 'big three' in Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk or Billy Slater.
It is an easy answer and one that can easily be justified considering all of their achievements individually or as a group.
But the Brisbane Broncos have their collective eye on another – and his name is Jesse Bromwich.
Bromwich is the leader of Melbourne's forward pack, working tirelessly in the middle to help the Storm grind their way to superior field position.
The New Zealand international is a master of the wrestle, constantly making sure his opponents are forced onto their backs to slow down the play-the-ball.
But the 28-year-old also has class with ball in hand, making 98 metres or more in 18 of his 21 games this year, and averaging 126 metres per match to lead the Storm's forwards in run metres per game.
This huge workload means Broncos lock Josh McGuire will have his hands full in the middle as he attempts to shut down one of the Storm's key men.
McGuire, who plays a similar style to Bromwich, rates his opponent as one of the best forwards in the game.
"They are a very classy team across the board with international players everywhere so it's hard to pinpoint one person who is a massive threat," McGuire said.
"In saying that, it's hard to go past Jesse Bromwich. He's been a great front-rower for a long time in this competition.
"He's a big body with good footwork and that's hard to come by. You find a lot of front-rowers who are bigger like that can be quite up and down but he's got good feet and hands. He's a hard guy to get a decent hit on."
The Broncos should be familiar with Bromwich after he put on a clinic in their last AAMI Stadium meeting back in Round 3.
On that night Bromwich ran for 132 metres after making an unexpected return from a broken thumb.
The injury did not hinder him, with McGuire the only forward on the field to make more metres than Bromwich in an otherwise well-beaten Broncos pack.
The Storm won that clash 14-12 in the dying stages and second-row forward Alex Glenn knows it will take a team effort to reverse that result in Friday night's do-or-die preliminary final.
"Jesse is a strong runner. After watching some video on them you can see they like to find their front and get that quick play-the-ball," Glenn said.
"They are just a strong pack that like to get each other going forward and find the quick play the ball so Cronk can play off the back of that.
"They are all a threat to us so we just have to make sure we do a job on them."
