25. 1980, Meninga 7/7 with the boot
At the ripe old age of 20, in fact he celebrated his birthday that very day; Mal Meninga proved the difference between the two sides with seven goals from seven attempts. Despite being outscored three tries to two, Meninga's trusty toe-pokes from all over the park kept the Maroons in front as they recorded their first win over NSW in 14 matches. Meninga's seven goals is still a Queensland record (shared with Johnathan Thurston who also booted seven in Game Two, 2008), and set him on his way to 161 points, another all-time Origin record.
