Eels rookie Bevan French was the 2016 Downer Auckland Nines top try scorer with eight tries.

There were more than 180 tries scored over the 2016 Downer NRL Auckland Nines weekend and NRL.com has selected their Top 10 of the tournament.

Parramatta rookie Bevan French was the tournament's top try-scorer, setting a new Nines record of eight tries over the two days. The Eels speedster had the crowd on its feet every time he touched the ball.

Eels teammate Semi Radradra was next on the list with six tries for the tournament, followed by Warriors centre Solomone Kata with five tries.
