The Parramatta Eels touched down in Alice Springs on Tuesday for a gruelling preseason camp in the Northern Territory.

The Eels will hold three training sessions in the red centre and make several community appearances during the four-day camp that has become somewhat of a regular feature of the preseason under coach Brad Arthur.

Corey Norman, Clint Gutherson and Bevan French will headline a strong squad of Eels players, who signed autographs and posed for photos with the locals after Tuesday’s training session.

The Parramatta players will visit Alice Springs Women’s Shelter, the local hospital and venture out to the remote town of Santa Teresa on Wednesday as part of their commitment to the region.

“It’s good to be back,” Corey Norman said.

“I think this is my fourth time up here. Every time we play a game here the crowd gets bigger and bigger and I guess that’s a good thing. There’s always a good little vibe around here.”
