Wendell Sailor’s showboating is all part of his character, but his conduct off the field, and his commitment on it, is often overlooked. This week, Wendell spoke to Big League’s Liz Anderson about becoming a Dragons favourite, working again with Wayne Bennett, coming back from a two year suspension and how he rates the 2009 Dragons side.

Michael Bani’s determination carried him to Sydney from his tiny island home of Mabuiag to chase an NRL dream with the Sea Eagles. That determination has since seen him fight back from the lowest point of his career, clearing his mind of self-doubt as he reclaimed his wing berth. Big League spoke to Bani about re-establishing himself after his injury last season and how he is determined to not let go of his spot this time around.

Antonio Kafusi played so well in 2007, he was called into the Queensland Origin team. But on debut, he suffered a horrific knee injury which put him out of action for the rest of that year. Despite playing 25 games last season, he couldn’t recapture his powerhouse qualities and started 14 matches from the bench. Big League spoke to Kafusi this week about his move from the Storm to the Cowboys and how he feels about facing his former team on the field this week.

Also in this week’s issue we speak to Keith Galloway from the Tigers, Warrior Joel Moon and Matt White from the Titans.

Big League is also giving away one free Footy Frames collector card with each issue!
