Trent Barrett injury update

Trent Barrett warmed up, participated in a couple of light drills, then watched on as training took place on the synthetic surface at Seymour Shore on Thursday afternoon, with his recovery from a neck injury coming along... but not yet 100 percent.

After a day's rest, then a check up with the doctor on Saturday morning, Barrett will know more in relation to his playing status for Sunday’s game with the Bulldogs. It's a match the Sharks will be determined to win to put their 2009 campaign back on track.

However, the speculation about Barrett was hardly distracting the remaining Sharks from the task at hand, with Brett Seymour returning to take control in the half back position, while Blake Green, who had some good touches and showed glimpses of what he is capable of in the match against the Dragons, is ready to step in and fill Barrett’s shoes should his more experienced teammate succumb to his neck injury.
