The Rabbitohs have suffered a major injury blow with key signing Rhys Wesser facing twelve weeks on the sidelines.<br><br>Wesser, who injured his knee against the Eels in round two, was forced to undergo an arthroscopy on Wednesday.<br><br>“It’s a shame that Rhys has suffered this sort of injury early on in his stint at the Rabbitohs, but we know that he has the work ethic and the drive to get himself right and to get out on the field and perform at his best again,” Rabbitohs coach Jason Taylor told the South Sydney website.<br><br>“Our medical team will make sure everything is done right and we’re looking forward to having Rhys back in the squad.”<br><br>The club's medical team is predicting a recovery time of between eight and twelve weeks for the fullback.<br><br>The news comes as a major blow for the Rabbitohs who tackle reigning NRL premiers Manly on Saturday night - complete with last-start man-of-the-match Brett Stewart in the No.1 jersey.<br><br>
