Wests Tigers second-rower Chris Heighington has received some disappointing news following medical reports on a leg injury.<br><br>Heighington suffered an adductor muscle injury in the right leg in the win over the Eels at Parramatta Stadium on Monday night. <br><br>He was originally ruled out of Sunday's away match against the Storm but coach Tim Sheens named him in the team to play subject to results of scans.<br><br>The scans have now revealed the injury will keep Heighington sidelined for 6-8 weeks.<br><br>"It is a terrible blow for Chris,'' said Wests Tigers Football Operations Manager Alan Mair.<br><br>"Chris has been in good form and is a real back-bone of our team. The news is devastating for everyone at the club. Chris will be sorely missed.<br><br>"Knowing the type of person Chris is, he will work extremely hard on his injury with our rehabilitation manager Andrew Leeds to ensure he makes a complete recovery.''
