NSW fans are playing their part in supporting the NSW Aussie Blues in next Wednesday’s Harvey Norman State of Origin match at ANZ stadium with more than 75,000 tickets already sold.

Five days from kick off just over six thousand tickets remain on sale.

“There’s no question that this is a backs to the wall game for the Aussie Blues and  it’s great to see the way NSW fans have come out in support of their team,” NSWRL General Manager, Mr Geoff Carr, said today.

“It would be great to take it all the way to a full house because with the young team that we have it can really help make a difference.

“One of the encouraging things this year is the 3000 Blatchy’s Blues guys who will be there in blue wigs and T-shirts, which is three times the number we had last year.

“You’ve also got to give credit to the 1200 Queensland supporters in maroon wigs.

“While as a New South Welshman I hope they don’t have too much to cheer about, it’s a real reminder of the positive rivalry that is unique to Origin.”

With such a large crowd fans, are reminded to plan their trip early and to make full use of the fact that their integrated ticket includes the cost of public transport to and from the game.

Fans are advised to take full advantage of the number of new restaurants and cafes open in the Sydney Olympic Park Precinct, who are participating in a new Taste of Origin promotion.

Booklets containing the Taste of Origin deals will be distributed to people as they enter the SOP precinct on Wednesday night or they can be downloaded from nrl.com/origin.

All transport details are available from www.131500.com.au
