Broncos forward Ashton Sims knows exactly what Jarryd Hayne is talking about when he refers to his experience with the Fiji national team in the World Cup as a life-changing experience.<br><br>Hayne has been the form player of the NRL the past seven weeks, and the Eels superstar has claimed he owes it all to his time with the Bati. <br><br>It is a claim that has merit, according to Sims.<br><br>“I find myself doing a lot of things I never used to do, things that I learnt in the Fiji camp and I still do now,” he said.<br><br>“It is very relaxing and humbling and obviously it has worked for Hayne because he is absolutely killing it.<br><br>“Hayne is going absolutely awesome and he loved the whole experience.<br><br>“I loved playing for Fiji and I wouldn’t change it for the world.”<br><br>Fiji were the surprise packet of the World Cup, making it all the way to the semi-finals, where they lost to Australia.<br><br>It is an experience Sims says will live with him for the rest of his life.<br><br>“When the World Cup finished we went back to Fiji and we drove from Nadi to Suva,” he said.<br><br>“Everyone was out on the roads and meeting us and cheering us and the whole country really got into it.<br><br>“It was a pretty humbling experience.<br><br>“Just to get to the roots of where I’m from and just to see what my mum went through, because she grew up in Fiji. <br><br>“Everything over there is really laid-back, and I just loved it over there.”
