Bulldogs players today called on their legion of fans to turn ANZ Stadium into a blue and white fortress for their Telstra Premiership Finals Series Home Qualifying Final against Newcastle on Saturday night.

The Bulldogs set a home crowd record of 41,835 in their final home match against the Warriors and, with a convoy of Newcastle Knights fans set to travel down the F3 for the match, Bulldogs centre Josh Morris today said they hoped to run out to a sea of blue and white on Saturday night.

“Hazem’s last game showed how well our fans come out and support us and they are certainly very vocal and get behind us and spur us on to win, so it’s going to be very important to get every Bulldogs fan out there to support us,” Morris said.

Hooker Michael Ennis added: “We’ve had a pretty good strike rate at ANZ Stadium this year and I know the boys are really looking forward to getting back there and hopefully there’s a big sea of blue and white and they’re pretty noisy.”

Due to the capacity of ANZ Stadium, the NRL today announced that junior pass holders will be able to use their pass to access the Bulldogs-Knights match. This offer is only available for this match and only in Week 1 of the finals.

The NRL remains the only major football code to offer junior and school players free season-long access to its Premiership games in what amounts to a $25 million investment in junior development.

Please note, junior pass holders (junior players only) that purchased tickets on Monday and Tuesday this week and wish to use their card for entry will be able to refund their ticket at ANZ Stadium on game day at the box office J/K.
